1 Nov 2007Hey, its $199.. what did you expect?
A great new computer? or an expensive door stop.

The race is most certainly on for a low priced PC. For over a year many PC manufacturers, some based in India, have been pronouncing their ability to produce a PC for under $200.00. Unfortunately, this was pure hype and speculation until now.
Wal-Mart performed a study and found that 5% of the customers who purchased a computer from their locations were doing so for the first time. With this in mind, Wal-Mart announced that they will begin stocking a new computer aimed at the entry level and consumer conscious shopper.
Enter Everex, a PC manufacturer whom teamed up gOS to build the gPC TC2502. The price to consumers? A mere $199. So just what can you expect for $199?
The system will not come with a DVD burner or a monitor, which are now common in most packages; however, it will come with the mouse, keyboard and speakers.
