Sirius 75 – Frank Sinatra
Sirius 75 is Siriusly Sinatra, and an introduction to the Great American Songbook. Frank’s contribution to great standards is unmatched. No one sang like him, no one carried such a personality and swagger like Frank. Frank’s legendary command of so much great material inspired many a great, and even many a lousy lounge singers.
Anyone who has been to Karaoke at your local pub has no doubt heard someone sing a very bad version of “My Way”.
Frank also had an amazing way of being able to pair up with just about anyone for any song. His Duets records brought some amazing versions of some ultimate classics.
Siriusly Sinatra is not just reserved for Frank’s singing. Several other great singers are heard on this channel. Frank’s daughter Nancy and Granddaughter A.J. Lambert host their own shows on the channel where they play personal Frank favs and also favs from their own collections, and from the American Standards library.
Frank introduced easy listening to an audience you might not expect in his golden years. Black Sabbath Guitarist Tony Iommi proudly declared his admiration for Frank and his music, thus turning several Metalheads on to the great vocalist.
I encourage everyone to give Frank’s music and the American Songbook a listen. It is a great platform, for a great channel at Sirius 75 Siriusly Sinatra.
