The Self-Energy Converting Sunglasses from Hyun-Joong Kim and Kwang-Seok Jeong are an ingenious concept design aimed at providing renewable solar energy for your gadgets while simultaneously calling your fashion choices into question.

Jeong and Kim have created the Sunglasses with dye solar cells so the light which would usually hit the user’s eyes is collected and transferred into electricity accessed through a port in the frame.

The Self-Energy Converting Sunglasses would allow the wearer to plug portable devices directly into their apparel to harness solar energy and power their electronics without creating the typical waste associated with conventional batteries.
