The Polar Express Train recreates the same excitement you felt when you watched the animated film, The Polar Express. The train is made by Lionel and is hauled by a die cast metal, O-gauge version of a Pete Marquette Berkshire 1225 steam locomotive. It even has a working smokestack and headlight. After the coal tender are two passenger coaches with another passenger coach with a rounded observation platform at the rear. All of the passenger coaches have interior lighting offering silhouettes in the windows of those on their way to meet Santa, which are painted in the same red and blue color scheme just like the movie.
