OrbitalOrbital is a game that is very unique in that I’m not quite sure how to describe it. Here’s the gist of it: First, you start with an empty playing field. You then fire a ball like object from the bottom of the screen to anywhere else and it inflates until it hits another ball or the side of the screen. Each ball you fire comes with three hit points. If you hit that ball three times with three other balls it disappears and frees up that space. Fill up the screen with too many balls or have a ball bounce below ground zero – or the red line – and you lose. Get it? Clear as mud? It’s addicting, frustrating and gratifying all in the same package. It’s not for everyone but it’s worth a shot to those who put aside some coffee money this week for a new game.

Pros:
Geometry Wars inspired layout.
Shots are precise and bounce exactly how you’d expect them to.

Cons:
Can be super difficult at times.
Can’t blame anyone but myself for it being so tough.
I can’t get above 21 for a high score.

Price: $0.99
Try or Buy: Try

I couldnt get more than 21 points either for the longest. Then i hand the game over for my buddy to try out and he gets 43 points in like under 2 minutes! Fugg.
