IM is now as mobile as you are.
Now it is twice as easy to get carpal tunnel in half the time!

Smallish

Text messaging is part of our daily lives; it is “main stream.” In fact, in the time it has taken you to read this sentence, well over 100,000 text messages have been sent.  When one is not on the go, they often are engaged in instant messaging, be it to co-workers, friends or family.

With the on-going drive and necessity for communication stems a unique and easy to use service from AOL, which is bridging the gap between your on-line instant message sessions and your off-line text messages.

Want to get started? First ensure that you have a robust, and hopefully unlimited, SMS plan with your carrier. Then implement the below steps:

  • Send your AIM screen name and password to 265023.
  • After texting 265023, you will receive directions for enabling and disabling the forwarding service.
  • Now you may control the SMS forwarding by selecting “Forward to Mobile” in your Away menu.
  • You may also set the service up to operate when the AIM server detects that you are idle
