Counter Space: Design and the Modern Kitchen at the Museum of Modern Art commemorates MoMA’s recent achievement of an intact “Frankfurt Kitchen.” The Frankfurt Kitchen was first created in 1926 by designer and architect, Greta Schutte-Lihotzky that uses an incorporated way for work spaces and to store appliances. The show will open on September 15 and of course will feature the Frankfort Kitchen along with a 1968 fold out unit created by Snaidero, Italian company. Visitors will also be able to see other items from MoMA’s collection including artwork, posters, photographs, architectural plans, and design objects.
