Dell .. icious.
Proving once again that size (of your hard drive) does matter.
Sleek, powerful and oh so expensive.

They say that the game is not over until the fat lady sings. Dell is out to prove that the only tunes they hear are the jingles of cash registers ringing in profits. S0mewhat silently, Dell has been making fairly aggressive strides to stay in top contention within the coveted PC realm. Several days ago, Dell announced a partnership with Staples. Breaking out of their current online-only business model, Dell now plans to distribute their wares to the many Staples locations nation-wide. Now, less than 48 hours later, Dell steps up with the new XPS-420.
The XPS-420 is Dells valiant attempt to enter into the luxury, high-end market catering to the multimedia gurus. This niche is already well represented by Apple and HP. Apparently, Dell believes there is room for one more player, and they may be correct in this assessment. They plan to give their competition a run for their money, and the consumer bang for their buck. The XPS-420 comes with the Intel Core 2 Duo or Extreme processors, along with your choice of ATI or NVIDIA graphics cards. When it comes to storage, it boasts a max of 1TB! They also offer 1-4 GB of Dual DDR2 SDRAM and a common bundle includes a 20-inch LCD monitor. Hardware aside, the software is equally as powerful. The XPS 420 ships with Photoshop Elements 6, Premiere Elements 4, and Soundbooth CS3. Price? We knew you would ask. A decked out system will run you $2,500.
