Canada opens the door slightly further to Internet taxation.
Whats next? … iTunes taxation?

The Copyright Board of Canada has long taxed blank CDs and MP3 players alike. In retrospect, I believe Canadians have been subject to a slow boil theory. What is the slow boil theory you ask? Live fish would tell you, if they were still alive. You see, many believe that the best way to prepare fish for an entree would be to place it in lukewarm water temperature. Then, ever so slowly, you raise the temperature. The fish never even notices a change due to the gradual increase. In the end the fish falls asleep, for a very…very long time. Canada raised its water temperature slightly when the taxed blank CDs. The temperature raised slightly more with the taxation of MP3 players. You guessed it, they turned up the heat again by implementing taxes on the music that Canadians now download.
The new taxation is slated to be a minimum of 2.1 cents for individual tracks and 1.5 cents per track for whole album. Is it getting hot in here? Or is Canada just happy to see me?
