1 Dec 2008The American government’s Department of Defense (DOD) has released a videogame. No, it’s not a new edition of the army training software from a few years back but rather an epidemic outbreak training program with the Sid Meier sounding name of SimQuest.
SimQuest has been developed as a virtual reality program to assist in readying defense forces for the possibility of an upcoming influenza pandemic.
Considering that the last major outbreak of flu occurred as long ago as 1968, SimQuest creator, Bob Waddington figures we may be overdue for a serious crisis.
