ThinkGeek Makes Flesh Eating Disease Cute Again

ThinkGeek have rolled out some of the most charming close-ups of horrible diseases since 1995’s, Outbreak with their collection of plush microbes. The ’stuffed animal’ type plushies represent a germophobe’s nightmare as they show the cuddlier side of various bacteria and viruses in a cartoony version of their 1, 000, 000 cellular magnification. From relatively tame options like red or white blood cells to plush microbes of herpes or syphillis viruses, ThinkGeek have provided a wealth of choices.

Personally I find some of these to be a pretty hilarious gift. How often can you truthfully say you gave your best friend ebola for their birthday? At $7.99 per plushie, the microbes are reasonably priced and worth it if you have the right sense of humour to go for them.

  • Microbe plushies are 5  to 7-inches big and all come with a card showing their cellular picture and explaining the virus’ actual characteristics.
