Hippus HandshoeMouse Versus Carpal Tunnel
Most technology followers have probably developed a justified cynicism regarding ergonomic computer products by now. Despite this, Hippus’ HandshoeMouse may actually be the first product in a long time which actually warrants the attention being given to it.The HandshoeMouse comes in a few different colours and sizes and was developed by two different Dutch medical schools, a few features that automatically set it apart from some of the competition.
Studies at Rotterdam and Maastricht have backed up the HandshoeMouse as hosting a structural concept which ensures a lack of hand strain through a lot of solid evidence. It’s also just a pleasing notion to hear that Hippus has created a mouse which accommodates different hand sizes, something which has always been sorely lacking from other developers.
It’s a bit pricey at about $160 USD but the idea that there may actually be a new mouse that offers true ergonomics instead of just a freaky design may be worth it to some. Reviews have mostly praised the HandshoeMouse as being one of the first real answers to repetitive strain injuries and carpal tunnel syndrome.
