Sony Reader Revolutionizes Amazon’s Old Idea
Fans of Amazon’s Kindle will be familiar with the look and idea behind Sony’s upcoming Reader Revolution which is essentially a repackaging of the company’s already existing technology. The digital reader is already being touted outside of different Manhattan, New York City Sony Stores by Dave Farrow (holder of a Guinness World Record for memorization) starting today. Sony is trying their best to publicize the new gadget as a massive revolution in how we read.
Although their PR is spinning it as the company’s brand new idea, Amazon launched what is pretty much exactly the same product just about a month ago with Kindle.
The cool part of the whole thing can be found from sweeping away the sheen of the launch and seeing that Sony is actually making a good effort with charitable donations to the eBook library which will eventually go to schools for free use.
