EA Kills Command & Conquer: Tiberium

$name EA Kills Command & Conquer: Tiberium

Fans of real-time strategy series, Command & Conquer have some disappointing news today as EA Games has announced the death of the long-awaited spin-off title, Tiberium.Due to an inability to pass the company’s quality assurance testing the game has been shot down while nearing release completion. While this may be distressing news for fans of the series, EA assured press that the resulting title would not have been of a high enough caliber to satisfy Command & Conquer devotees.

EA used to be known in the gaming industry for pumping out as many games as possible but, under the leadership of new CEO, John Riccitiello, the new approach has been one of strict quality testing before releasing any new material.

The development team responsible for Tiberium have already moved on to a new project, leaving the partially completed game behind them.
