USB Swiss Army Knife

We’ve always thought that the swiss were pretty darn snazzy, and this little gadget proves it. The Swiss Army Knife, a long-time standing member of our pockets and our favorite multi-tool of all time, has just been improved in the only way possible: the addition of a LED light and up to 1GB of flash memory. How many people can say that their knife can store 10,000 photos?

The Novelty Factor

If you’d never use a Swiss Army Knife you probably have no reason to pick this thing up. However, if you’re a more functional woodsman-type who also loves to use MP3’s then you have just found your match.

The technical details of this cool jump drive/knife combo are:

  • USB 2.0/1.1, port-powered, detachable flash drive
  • 39″ USB extension cable
  • Windows 98SE/Me/2000/XP; Linux 2.4x+; Mac OS 8.6+
  • Downloadable Secure-LOCK software prevents unauthorized access
  • USB Flash drive swings out and can be removed
  • 2 3/8″L x 3/4″W x 11/16″H folded

Of course, all the old favorites are still there: knife, scissors, nail file with screwdriver tip, ballpoint pen (retractable), and keyring. You’ll also find: LED mini light (red), and of course, the USB flash drive.

The 1GB model is around $149, though smaller versions are available for as low as $69.99.
